I recently completed Tony Hsieh's book
Delivering Happiness and I am truly inspired! since that time I have attempted to implement core values with my team at work. This is an ongoing process and my biggest challenge is getting buy in from team members who dont see the value of Core Values yet. It's a challenge I hope to overcome very soon (any ideas for readers would be much appreciated). I am now developing Core Values at home as well. I believe this concept can apply to all aspects of life (including raising kids). Tony was right when he talks about Core Values and how if done right shouldn't be very different at home vs. work. If you do it right, they are inherently very similar and I am seeing that while going through the process of developing 'commit-able' core values.
Since reading the book I have recently received the Zappos Culture book, which is a fascinating read to go through and see what Zappos employees feel about what Zappos is doing and what the culture is like.
